things I am not yet used to:

• the word "whilst"
• "tyres" having a 'y' in it.

  though I don't drive, I'm still surprised it took me over a year to notice.

• the casual nature with which everyone shares a lane with oncomming traffic
• "sandwiches"
  • corn on sandwiches
  • butter on sandwiches
  • calling any single item between two slices of bread a "sandwich"
  • even when things are almost-right, using only one slice of meat
• people getting mad whenever I use the word "dirty" instead of "untidy"
